Labor Day Party, PCD Burlesque Continued…

This weekend Mya will be in Toronto, Canada celebrating the arrival of fall and hosting Sunday Night Live at the Wetbar. Check out the promotional video she’s done for the event by clicking here. I’ve added captures to the gallery as well.

Lastly, Mya had an interview with the Examiner, she was asked a eleven questions ranging from her career, her personal life, and some of her non-profit work. Check it out below:

What was it like growing up in our Nation’s capital of Washington DC?
I grew up in both Washington, DC and Maryland & I must say some of the best seafood comes from the Chesapeake. The metropolitan area has a culture so rich in the performing arts and is one of the major melting pot districts in the world with diverse walks of life within. Great upbringing because of it.

How did you first break into the music business?
Through an independent label in Washington DC by the name of University Music Entertainment founded by Haqq Islam. R&B groups Dru Hill & Pure Soul were the first acts signed here.

Mya Featured in NYT Crossword Puzzle

According to Wordplay, the Crossword Blog of the New York Times, Mya is the answer to 56 Down on todays’s crossword puzzle. The clue? One-named singer of the 1998 hit ‘It’s All About Me’. Mya Live at Haze and Bare Pool
