Labor Day Party, PCD Burlesque Continued…
This weekend Mya will be in Toronto, Canada celebrating the arrival of fall and hosting Sunday Night Live at the Wetbar. Check out the promotional video she’s done for the event by clicking here. I’ve added captures to the gallery as well.

What was it like growing up in our Nation’s capital of Washington DC?
I grew up in both Washington, DC and Maryland & I must say some of the best seafood comes from the Chesapeake. The metropolitan area has a culture so rich in the performing arts and is one of the major melting pot districts in the world with diverse walks of life within. Great upbringing because of it.
How did you first break into the music business?
Through an independent label in Washington DC by the name of University Music Entertainment founded by Haqq Islam. R&B groups Dru Hill & Pure Soul were the first acts signed here.

Today we have some EXCITING news to share with you all. Mya as well as Carmen Electra and Kelly Osbourne will be participating in a filmed presentation of Robin Antin’s Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Review September 1st in the Viper Room. Footage obtained from that night will be featured in the upcoming documentary Sunset Strip The Movie and Bing.com is giving fans a chance to be a part of the experience!!

Despite a recent ankle injury on the set of “Dancing With the Stars,” runner-up Mya was high-energy when she hit the stage at club Haze in Las Vegas the other night. The pop star had used a wheelchair all day before going on. “It’s still sore, so I try to stay off of my feet as much as possible, but it doesn’t hurt when I perform,” she was overheard telling a friend in the airport. She bravely managed to make three outfit changes that night. After the show, she partied in the VIP section with female rockers The Go-Go’s.
